Resilient

Day 17 - North Korea

In North Korea, persecution is severe and relentless. The government views Christianity as a foreign ideology and the only religion allowed is the Juche which consists of solely worshipping the Kim family. If caught with a Bible, praying, or talking about Jesus, North Koreans risk being arrested, sent to concentration camps, and even executed. Entire families can suffer if one family member is caught being a Christian. Bibles are illegal in North Korea and must be kept secret and smuggled from city to city. Prepare Your Heart

Watch the video below and pray for North Korea.

Praise

  • Praise God for the missionaries that go back or into North Korea and make a big sacrifice to help spread the news in such a hostile country.
  • Praise God for Christians in North Korea who continue to spread the Gospel, despite the danger of severe consequences.
  • Praise God for radio broadcasts that they program to air in North Korea, which many North Koreans listen to secretly.

Prayer

  • Pray for the engineers who are responsible for keeping daily gospel radio broadcasts on the air. Many North Koreans secretly listen to these and we continue to pray that more and more would discover and listen to it.
  • Pray for Christians who are scared daily because of their Faith. Pray for peace that surpasses all understanding and for them to know that Jesus already took victory.
  • Pray for more and more North Koreans to encounter Jesus in ways that only God can orchestrate, that it would be undeniable that there is a loving God who loves them and knows them.

We had incredible guest speakers this past weekend at service!
