Day 9 - India

In India, persecution towards Christians is often violent attacks, imprisonment, and even death. India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is working to make India a pure Hindu nation. This has caused persecution for Believers to become more frequent and worse in the last year. In India, there are anti-conversion laws that have been used against Pastors, Church planters, and Evangelists. Many rural Christians have never had access to a Bible. Prepare Your Heart

Watch the video below and pray along with an Indian believer for their country.

Praise

  • Praise God for missionaries who have dedicated their lives to serving in India and spreading the Gospel there. In 2023, the India Missions Association (IMA) alone represented 243 organizations and 60,000 missionaries.
  • Praise God for all of the areas that missionaries are in and reaching.
  • Praise God for all of the local Indian Christians who are being discipled and trained up to become Pastors and leaders of their community.

Prayer

  • Pray for Bibles and Christian literature to be accessible; even though India has one of the largest Bible societies in the world, many rural Christians have never had access to a Bible.
  • Pray for Christian organizations in India, as many are being shut down by new government regulations.
  • Pray for those experiencing increased persecution from Hindu extremists.
