What is English and Coffee?
In 2018, teams from our church traveled to 8 different mega-cities, offering free English tutoring through materials based on the book of Luke. Friendships were made and lives were impacted for eternity.
In 2019 our theme was, "I LOVE LA", so we brought the same program to Shepherd and named it, "English and Coffee"! We saw a huge response of immigrants, refugees and International Students who came to Shepherd to improve their English!
Since 2020 we have continued "English and Coffee" and we're looking for volunteers like YOU to help our new friends practice their English, through simple one-on-one conversations.
Training is required for anyone interested in Tutoring.
Training takes place one-on-one. Register today, and we will reach out to schedule a time soon!

What is required of you to become a tutor?

- Be able to speak and read English
- Be willing to share personal experience with God
- Commit to at least one hour per week, biweekly, or as a "substitute"
English and Coffee meets on Thursday evenings year round.
