Outreach

This mission trip is curated for individuals dedicated to humanitarian service, education, and empowering those who have faced adversity through the love of Jesus. We will be hosting free classes for the North Korean women and their families so if you have a special talent or gift that you can teach others, let us know! We will spend a day in prayer for North Korea and the Christians who are persecuted for their Faith.

Once again, a team from Shepherd will be traveling to Seoul to partner with "Let’s Start Talking" (LST) - the international form of Shepherd’s “English & Coffee” ministry. We will be joining partners in South Korea by offering free one-on-one conversational English practice to those wishing to improve their English using biblical material to teach.

A short-term team is traveling to Hangover, Germany, to participate in a Let's Start Talking (LST) project, which combines language learning with sharing the message of Jesus. The team will engage with locals through casual conversations in English, helping them improve their language skills while sharing stories and Bible teachings. The goal is to foster deeper connections, cultural understanding, and an opportunity to discuss faith in a natural, welcoming environment. As participants practice their language skills, the team will share the love of Jesus, providing a unique blend of language exchange and spiritual outreach.

Family Retreat offers a haven for families living with disability. In a fully accessible camp environment, families are cared for, rejuvenated, and encouraged in Christ. The Kingdom Team will create a fun, Christ-centered environment that is safe and accepting for each member of the family. During this time of respite, the families will build lasting memories and find renewed hope as they take part in Bible study, accessible activities, and opportunities to connect with other families who face similar challenges. Help Kingdom Team create a time of fun and refreshment—it’s a little slice of heaven!

We are privileged to serve alongside the organization Crossing Borders in their community classes held for North Korean women. Adjusting to South Korea is very difficult for North Korean defectors and these classes are one way of creating a sense of community for them. If you have a class you can teach, let us know! Last year some of our team members led the following classes: boxing, pickleball, grounding class, 2 hands activity, and more!

Join us in Hong Kong as we partner with the local Church to bring a fun Christ-centered Summer camp for children. Many children will be from families who are not believers and it is a great opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. Our team will lead classes, games, and other activities for the camp all week long.

Join us this August in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for a unique mission trip with Let’s Start Talking (LST), Shepherd’s international “English & Coffee” ministry. We’ll offer free, one-on-one conversational English practice to locals, using the book of Luke to guide our discussions and help others improve their English while learning about the gospel. This trip is perfect for young adults (18+) who want to serve, grow spiritually, and share the gospel in a relational, non-confrontational way. No teaching experience is needed—just a heart for people and a desire to make a difference!
