Outreach

A team from Shepherd will be traveling to India to serve alongside our Global Partners. This team will have the opportunity to visit and take part in various ministries run by our partner organization but will be focusing primarily on ministering to and praying for believers and encouraging them to stand firm in their faith in the face of persecution.

Family Retreat offers a haven for families living with disability. In a fully accessible camp environment, families are cared for, rejuvenated, and encouraged in Christ. The Kingdom Team will create a fun, Christ-centered environment that is safe and accepting for each member of the family. During this time of respite, the families will build lasting memories and find renewed hope as they take part in Bible study, accessible activities, and opportunities to connect with other families who face similar challenges. Help Kingdom Team create a time of fun and refreshment—it’s a little slice of heaven!

This mission trip is curated for individuals dedicated to humanitarian service, education, and empowering those who have faced adversity through the love of Jesus. We will be hosting free classes for the North Korean women and their families so if you have a special talent or gift that you can teach others, let us know! We will spend a day in prayer for North Korea and the Christians who are persecuted for their Faith.

Once again, a team from Shepherd will be traveling to Seoul to partner with "Let’s Start Talking" (LST) - the international form of Shepherd’s “English & Coffee” ministry. We will be joining partners in South Korea by offering free one-on-one conversational English practice to those wishing to improve their English using biblical material to teach.

Serve with us as a Seating Therapist, Mechanic, Photojournalist, Seamstress, or in a Support role. Every team member will directly impact people living with disability in a life-changing way. This short-term trip to Central Asia this Fall, we will combine the local holidays with a unique opportunity to share the message of God with the community. This trip is designed for individuals who are passionate about cultural exchange, outreach, and spreading the teachings of faith. We will be participating in outreach events for children, local hospitals, single-parent homes, etc.

We are privileged to serve alongside the organization Crossing Borders in their community classes held for North Korean women. Adjusting to South Korea is very difficult for North Korean defectors and these classes are one way of creating a sense of community for them. If you have a class you can teach, let us know! Last year some of our team members led the following classes: boxing, pickleball, grounding class, 2 hands activity, and more!

Join us in East Asia as we partner with the local Church to bring a fun Christ-centered Summer camp for children. Many children will be from families who are not believers and it is a great opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. Our team will lead classes, games, and other activities for the camp all week long.
